ASPHODEL Cordyceps is a cordyceps supplement for people who value a fungus with a storied place in Himalayan and Chinese tradition. We prepare it for a modern daily routine, with the details on the label rather than in marketing.
Cordyceps is one of the most storied fungi in traditional practice. Wild Ophiocordyceps sinensis grows on the Tibetan Plateau, where people have long prized it and where it is now scarce and costly. Today, cultivated species such as Cordyceps militaris make the fungus far more accessible. Cultivated fruiting bodies are bright orange, and producers dry, powder or extract them.
The word cordyceps covers several different fungi. As a result, two products with the same name can contain very different material. A good cordyceps supplement names the exact species, the part used and how it was grown. We will state the species and source on this page once our supplier confirms them, because with cordyceps the species matters.
Researchers study compounds such as cordycepin, which Cordyceps militaris produces. Much of this work is preliminary, so we report it as research interest rather than as a promise.
We will publish the format, serving size and Supplement Facts from the supplier's verified label. Please follow the directions on the label. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or managing a health condition.
